Hello and Happy new year!
We are a small company that produces 10 SKUs food products. Recently we have contracted to use a 3rd party warehouse to do the drop ship of our SKUs to the grocery & convenience stores we sell to.
The problem is that all our software will produce is a PDF release order. Not EDI. Our system is not capable of generating any EDI because its a internal system and we can't change it (easily). The warehouse says they need an EDI X.12 release order in order to do this. They will not accept PDFs.
Is there a software out there that will convert my release order to the appropriate X.12 EDI and then send it to the warehouse? I'm told they want a EDI 940.
Do companies do this? or do they all suck up the huge cost to "go EDI"?
Many thanks in advance.
Prasad.
Convert PDF release orders to warehouse EDI 940?

Re: Convert PDF release orders to warehouse EDI 940?
Hey there! Yeah, I found I could use ChimpKey for this. It'll take your PDF release order and convert it to the EDI 940 format the warehouse needs. No need for a big system change or huge costs. It does the conversion and can send it over to your warehouse. It's a common solution for situations like this.
